Enviro-Mark

Enviro-Mark NZ is an environmental management system marketed and supported throughout New Zealand by Landcare Research (government organisation). The system is a crucial part of Landcare’s mission to future-proof natural, rural and urban ecosystems through world-class science innovation.

Enviro-Mark provides businesses with a framework to systematically assess their performance against agreed standards. Achievement of each standard is verified by an external audit to provide complete objectivity in the certification process. Soar Print has attained the Diamond standard the highest environmental award available in New Zealand and is recognized along side ISO 14001.

The five standards are:

Bronze	Compliance with relevant health, safety and environmental legislation
Silver	Production of an appropriate environmental policy based on the identification of environmental aspects and impacts
Gold	Implementation and monitoring of continuous-improvement targets and objectives
Platinum	Documentation of operational procedures and systems used to manage environmental aspects and impacts (e.g. work instructions, practices, training and communication, management review)
Diamond (current)	Implementation of an internal management and audit programme to correct and drive continual improvement. [At Diamond level, a business is ready for an ISO14001 audit.]

carboNZero Certification

The carboNZero programme run by Landcare Research is an internationally recognised greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions management and reduction scheme, offering optional mitigation strategies through the provision of credible and verified offsets.

It is the world’s first internationally accredited GHG certification scheme by the Joint Accreditation System – Australia and NZ (JAS-ANZ) and is recognised by the UK Environment Agency as a Carbon Trust Standard equivalent scheme. The certification mark is accepted in 50 world economies throughout Australia, Europe, Middle East, New Zealand and South America.
