“The ability to make changes at the last minute without the expense of film is really beneficial. That type of flexibility is important for both our clients and ourselves.”
Stuart Polley, Production Manager, Alphabet Soup
“Our relationship with Soar Printing goes back 15 years. During that time we’ve given more than seven million books to New Zealand children. We couldn’t do our work without the help and support of community-minded partners such as Soar.” Linda Vagana, General Manager, Duffy Books in Homes

Soar Printing received a Judge’s Commendation as runner-up in the 2011 Trailblazer Large and Corporate Business Northern Sustainable Business Network awards on September 6th.
In announcing the award the judges’ comments were:
“The judges recognise the challenges involved in comparing large corporations with small business and the service sector with manufacturing.
Soar had good metrics around travel, waste to landfill, energy and water use and provided in such a way that makes benchmarking water use possible.
Good innovations around composting. Balanced triple bottom line approach with carbon neutrality as an important point of difference.
The judges appreciated that the company was candid in reporting, and provide transparency despite being in a fiercely competitive environment.
The community is recognised as a key stakeholder in comparison to other small businesses that tend to be more internally focused.
They should be commended for these innovations and the extent to which they are implementing lean manufacturing.”
