“Globally, Estée Lauder requires suppliers to meet quality and environmental management standards. Soar Printing are ISO 14001 and Enviromark certified, so they’re a good sustainability fit for us.” Kevin Wildman, Creative Director, Estée Lauder New Zealand
“We were looking for a print business that was family owned, ecologically responsible and with similar values to Fidelity Life. Soar Printing is all those things, a good fit with our company. They have delivered quality print work, from small digital jobs through to our annual report, all under one roof.” Heather Matich, Brand & Collateral Specialist, Fidelity Life

Soar Printing received a Judge’s Commendation as runner-up in the 2011 Trailblazer Large and Corporate Business Northern Sustainable Business Network awards on September 6th.
In announcing the award the judges’ comments were:
“The judges recognise the challenges involved in comparing large corporations with small business and the service sector with manufacturing.
Soar had good metrics around travel, waste to landfill, energy and water use and provided in such a way that makes benchmarking water use possible.
Good innovations around composting. Balanced triple bottom line approach with carbon neutrality as an important point of difference.
The judges appreciated that the company was candid in reporting, and provide transparency despite being in a fiercely competitive environment.
The community is recognised as a key stakeholder in comparison to other small businesses that tend to be more internally focused.
They should be commended for these innovations and the extent to which they are implementing lean manufacturing.”
