The beautiful black gift box that earned three gold awards at this year’s Pride in Print Awards is an exceptional example of client-printer collaboration.
Created for the Auckland Convention Bureau, the box is made using an unusual stock called ‘wibalin’. It’s a strong, durable covering material commonly used for binding hard cover books. It’s also used sometimes used for premium packaging.
Sarah Burilin from ATEED collaborated with Soar account manager Peta Higgins to design and produce the box.
“The bureau wanted a gift that would showcase Auckland, so we first sourced a collection of premium Auckland-made products. Then we designed a box that would accommodate and present the gifts. The finishing touch was beautiful foiling of Auckland’s ‘A’ on the box lid”, says Peta.
The gift box collected Pride in Print awards in three categories - Carton Board Packaging, Other Packaging and Campaigns.

This award-winning gift box for ATEED features foiling on the lid.
