The need for hard-copy brochures and flyers isn’t going away anytime soon. Print is tangible, and there’s good evidence to show that brochures and magazines often stay in offices and houses for years. You can’t delete them with a click.

There’s also plentiful evidence to suggest that consumers are more engaged when reading printed material. Websites are often skimmed in as little as a 15 second visit and people read digital screen text 20% to 30% slower than printed paper. With hard copy print they’re reading more and they’re engaged for longer. Hard copy lets you fold down page corners, add Post-it notes, draw circles around things, make notes and even tear pictures out for a scrapbook.

One more thing. In a world full of internet threats, print isn’t dangerous. It can’t give you a virus or open the door to hackers. There’s something about hard-copy print that provides a sense of legitimacy.

Tips for brochure and flyer printing:

At Soar we have both digital and offset printing presses. For high-volume runs, offset is often the most economical option. For short runs, digital printing is what you need.
Digital presses can use Excel data to personalise each output. You can change out text and images to provide customers with a personalised brochure.
Soar’s iGen 150 digital press prints sheets up to 364mm x 660mm, so we can print several pages on a single press pass, then trim them as required. Fewer press passes results in lower costs.
A soft-touch coating can be applied after printing, to give pages a silky, luxurious feeling.
You can give your brochure cover extra creativity and uniqueness with digital embossing techniques. Textured and raised effects are created by building up layers of ink. It can be subtle – noticeable when the ink catches the light or when you run your fingers across the surface. Or it can look like true embossing, but without the expensive block dies and special presses.
